  1. In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
  2. Add the cubed pumpkin and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add the water, salt, and ground cumin. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until the pumpkin is soft.
  4. Once the pumpkin is cooked, use a potato masher or blender to mash the pumpkin to your desired consistency.
  5. Stir in the peanut butter until well combined. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot as a stew or soup.
